Delta Sugar (SUGR) Reports 1Q-24 FY Net Profit of EGP 216 Million, Down from EGP 323 Million in the Same Period Last Year

Delta Sugar (SUGR) has released its financial earnings for the first quarter of the fiscal year 2024, revealing a net profit of EGP 216 million. This figure represents a decrease of 33% compared to the net profit of EGP 323 million recorded during the same period last year. According to the release sent to the EGX (Egyptian Stock Exchange) the company's Board of Directors, in its session held on April 29, 2024, approved the financial position of the company as of March 31, 2024, for the first quarter of the current fiscal year. The release highlights the reasons behind the decline in net income, citing two key factors: firstly, an increase in the prices of production supplies, and secondly, a decrease in sales at the beginning of the period.
