Telecom Egypt (ETEL) has officially denied reports claiming that the Saudi sovereign fund, Public Investment Fund (PIF), is interested in purchasing its telecommunications towers. The company clarified that no offers have been received from PIF or any other entity.
Despite these denials, Telecom Egypt (ETEL) confirmed that it has been exploring the potential sale and lease of its tower assets for over a year. The company is currently conducting comprehensive studies on the financial, technical, and commercial aspects of such a transaction. These evaluations are being carried out in collaboration with its financial, technical, commercial, and legal consultants. The process remains in the study phase, and no definitive decisions have been made.
