TECH Review: My Fawry + YellowCard

In our latest product initiative, Tech Review, we delve into and test technologies that positively impact our daily routines. Our hands-on exploration of these features brings forth valuable insights.

Activation and Money Flow

Our inaugural review spotlights the My Fawry app and Yellowcard, offering an impressive experience. During our visit to a Fawry Plus branch, within a swift 10 minutes and after signing just 4 forms, we received our My Fawry Yellowcard. The Pin Code setup occurred seamlessly at the same desk, eliminating the need for ATM visits or calls to customer service.

Banking Integration Banque Misr is the acquiring bank for the card, so you'll find the Banque Misr logo, Fawry logo, and Meeza logo on it.

Seamless Recharging The Yellowcard is linked to the My Fawry app. Logging into the app, we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to receive money. You can top up your My Fawry app and card via InstPay, Banque Misr ATMs, debit or credit cards, digital wallets, and Fawry Plus branches and kiosks. This means you have 24/7 teller services with seamless interactions. The Yellowcard uses the Meza network, making it usable within Egypt for online payments, any store POS, and your app balance is synchronized with the card balance.

Saving Features My Fawry app also includes a saving option through the Fawry Yawmy fund, allowing you to buy and redeem certificates daily with a daily return. As of 29/07/2024, the fund's annual return rate is 22.62%. This makes it easy to save and earn interest, which is beneficial for managing daily cash needs. If you need to redeem, it takes one business day or less, depending on the timing.

Fawry Taqseet Fawry Taqseet is a consumer finance product that lets you apply and get your limit like other consumer finance apps. The standout feature here is the ability to go back to your transactions, request installment options, and get the cash back into your account

Insurance Offerings We discovered different insurance packages through Fawry Insurance Brokerage, including life insurance and medical insurance, available through an online subscription.

Extensive Payment Network

The My Fawry app boasts an impressive network of payment options. Here’s a quick rundown:

  • Telecom Payment: Mobile operators, landline, and ADSL.

  • Fawry Pay: Receive a payment number for any merchant, enter it into your My Fawry app, and click pay.

  • Social Insurance Fees: Pay with your social insurance number.

  • Consumer Finance Payments: Pay your ValU installment as well as over 15 banks, mortgage, and consumer finance companies.

  • Utilities: Pay for gas, electricity, and water.

  • Car License Renewal and Traffic Fines: An established service with Fawry.

  • Club Subscriptions: Easily pay club memberships.

  • Compound Payment Services: Pay between installments or service fees for over 20 compounds.

  • Tickets: Purchase tickets for Egypt Air, Go Bus, and different airlines.

The My Fawry app offers a vast array of services that make managing daily transactions easy and convenient. While we can't list all the services in detail here, it's a handy invention that integrates seamlessly into your daily life.
