Ezz Steel Faces EU Anti-Dumping Investigation Over Hot-Rolled Flat Steel Exports

Ezz Steel announced through a disclosure on the London Stock Exchange, that they have been notified by the European Trade Commission of the initiation of anti-dumping investigations concerning imports of hot-rolled flat steel originating from Egypt, India, Japan, and Vietnam. The investigations, launched on 8 August 2024, follow a complaint from the European Steel Association (EUROFER).


EUROFER's complaint calls for the imposition of anti-dumping duties on Egyptian exports, with Ezz Steel, as the sole Egyptian exporter of hot-rolled flat steel, being directly impacted.
