EGX30's Rally: COMI and Banks Lead

Commercial International Bank (COMI) achieved another significant milestone during today's session, surging to EGP 71 per share and setting a new historical high. The session concluded with COMI closing at EGP /share, contributing to a remarkable year-to-date (YTD) gain of +68.80%.


The EGX30 index soared to a new high of 24,136 points, with COMI representing a substantial 26.95% weight at the EGX30 Index as of 07/11/2023 session data from the EGX website. The EGX30 index closed the session at points, resulting in a YTD performance of +64.41%.


In the banking sector, Credit Agricole Egypt (CIEB) took the lead, recording a significant increase of +8.00% and reaching a new historical high of EGP 21.40 per share. The session concluded with CIEB closing at EGP 21.06. CIEB contributes 2.16% to the EGX30 index weight, and its YTD performance stands at an impressive +148.9%. Abu Dhabi Islamic Bank - ADIB also contributes 1.48% of the EGX30 index weight ended the session +5.85% EGP 36.92/share and recorded new Historical high at EGP 37.49/share.


Following closely, Commercial International Bank (COMI) secured the second position (as mentioned in the previous part). Export Development Bank of Egypt (EXPA) claimed the third spot, ending the session with a gain of +7.66% at EGP 17 per share, trading near its all-time high price of EGP 17.56 recorded on 29/08/2023.


Housing and Development Bank (HDBK) achieved a new historical high of EGP 35.45 per share, concluding the session with a gain of +3.65% at EGP 35.24.


Qatar National Bank AlAhly (QNBA) closed the session at its all-time high price of EGP 27.50 per share, recorded on 05/11/2023, with a modest gain of +1.14% and a low trading volume of 15,139 shares.
