EGX30 Index Skyrockets to New Historical High; SWDY, EFIH, and HRHO Stocks Surge to Record Levels


The EGX30 index wasted no time in making a powerful surge, reaching a new historical high above 32,500 points within the first hour of the trading session. This remarkable achievement is accompanied by notable performances from stocks (refer to "EGX30 Soars: Record Highs Amid Central Bank Moves")., such as El Sewedy Electric (SWDY), which recorded an impressive 13.80% surge, reaching EGP 48.50 per share by 10:42 CLT. Such a significant increase resulted in a 10-minute trading suspension for SWDY on the EGX. Similarly, E-Finance (EFIH) experienced a surge of over 19.80% by 10:34 CLT, hitting EGP 27.40 per share and also marking a new historical high, leading to a temporary trading suspension. Another standout performer, EFG-Holding (HRHO), wasted no time either, reaching a new historical high within the first 12 minutes of the session, with HRHO stock climbing to EGP 23.18 per share surging 8.8% by 10:12 CLT. Commercial International Bank - COMi also joined forces as surged +4.1% in early trading minutes.
